These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the MERI SAHELI Magazine Web Edition, website, mobile applications, digital content, subscription services, and related offerings (“Service”), operated by Pioneer Book Co. Pvt. Ltd. (“Company”, “We”, “Us”).

By accessing or using the Service, you (“User”, “You”, “Data Principal”) agree to be bound by these Terms and consent to processing of your personal data in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025.

  • Data Processor: Any third party processing data on behalf of the Company.
  • Consent: Freely given, specific, informed, unconditional, and unambiguous indication of agreement.
  1. ELIGIBILITY & CHILDREN’S DATA

Users must be 18 years or older.

For users below 18 years:

    • Access is permitted only with verifiable parental or legal guardian consent
    • The Company does not knowingly process children’s personal data without such consent
  2. The Company does not engage in tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children.

  • No sharing of credentials
  • User responsible for account activity
  • Immediate termination for misuse or fraud
  1. USER CONTENT & PLATFORM USE

  • Users are responsible for content uploaded
  • Content must comply with Indian laws
  • The Company reserves moderation and takedown rights
  1. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

Includes but not limited to:

  • Hacking, scraping, data mining
  • Malware transmission
  • Impersonation
  • National security threats
  • Unlawful or harmful content
  1. DATA SECURITY SAFEGUARDS

The Company implements:

  • Reasonable security practices
  • Access controls
  • Encryption and monitoring
  • Breach prevention systems
  1. PERSONAL DATA BREACH

In the event of a personal data breach:

  • The Company shall notify:
    • The Data Protection Board of India
    • Affected Data Principals
  • In the manner prescribed under DPDP Rules, 2025

  1. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & INDEMNITY

  1. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
Courts at [Mumbai , India] shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

  1. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the User and the Company.
