INGREDIENTS
12 slices of bread, 1 litre milk, 3-4 strands of saffron, 2 tsp kewra water, 1 tsp itar, 200 gm khoya, 250 gm sugar, 20 gm almonds

METHOD
• Cut the bread slices in triangles, deep-fry them and keep them aside.
• Boil half the milk and add kewra water, saffron strands and itar to it.
• Pour this flavoured milk on the fried bread slices. Keep aside.
• In the meantime, to prepare khoya rabdi, take the rest of the milk and boil it until it reduces to half. Then add khoya and sugar to it.
• Arrange the fried bread slices soaked in flavoured milk on the serving dish and pour khoya rabdi on it.
• Chill and serve.
